An established healthcare organization serving communities in southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma is seeking a full-time Workplace Health Physician to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary and occupational-focused care across two conveniently located practices.
Position Highlights:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care including preventive, diagnostic and treatment services
- Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Provide health examinations, follow-up care and patient education
- Develop coordinated care plans and make appropriate referrals
- Prescribe medications and provide clinical consultation to other providers
- Opportunity to supervise APPs and medical students, as assigned
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain clinical standards
- Collaborate with behavioral health and other members of the healthcare team
- Split time between two established practice locations in southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma
- Participate in an after-hours call system, including care for the organization's inpatient population, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Full medical licensure in Kansas and Oklahoma
- Valid DEA registration
- Eligible for payer credentialing
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an appropriate residency
- Board Certified in the appropriate specialty
- BLS through the American Heart Association required
- ACLS and/or PALS through the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting
- Strong community/public health orientation preferred
- Commitment to serving underserved populations
