An established urology practice in Alabama is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients with common and complex urologic conditions.
Practice Highlights:
- Full-time day shift position
- Provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric urology patients
- Evaluate and manage common and complex urologic conditions
- Perform comprehensive exams and evaluate urinary, sexual health, pain, and continence concerns
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies
- Collaborate closely with urologists and multidisciplinary care teams
- Perform or assist with minor office-based procedures as credentialed
- Procedural scope may include catheterizations, cystoscopy, bladder instillations and injections, and prostate biopsies
- Manage medications and initiate therapies within established protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment options, medications, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention
- Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of treatment
- Participate in staff orientation and professional development
- Practice in a team-oriented environment focused on safe, high-quality patient care
Qualifications:
- Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program
- Current Alabama PA license or eligibility to obtain
- Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
- 2+ years of experience in a field involving procedural skills preferred
- Experience in adult-gerontology, operating room, nephrology/dialysis, geriatrics, or similar settings preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and technical competence
- Wound care and suture removal experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric populations
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and quality care
