Seeking APRN to join talented Urology team in Pullman, WA.
Work Schedule for this Position:
Anticipating Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
- Work with the healthcare team to provide patients with medical care services within the standard of care for Urology patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop treatment plans.
- Conducts thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
- Order laboratory and diagnostic tests, and refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
- Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.
- Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help treat the health issue they are experiencing.
- Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
- Adhere to organization and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
- Maintain NP or PA licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington.
- Board certified or board eligible NP or PA.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
