Orthopedic Group based in San Francisco, CA is seeking a non-operational BE/BC Sports Medicine physician to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice within a collaborative environment offering comprehensive orthopedic and musculoskeletal care.
The incoming physician will evaluate and treat athletes and active individuals of all ages, with an emphasis on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and helping patients return safely to work, sports, and everyday activities.
Position Highlights
- Join an established group representing a broad range of orthopedic subspecialties
- Work alongside orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, and other clinical professionals
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
- Treat ligament, tendon and cartilage injuries, fractures, muscle strains, tendinitis, and repetitive-use conditions
- Manage sports-related injuries involving the shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, and other joints
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Utilize conservative treatment options, including physical therapy, activity modification, medication, and injections
- Coordinate imaging, including X-rays and MRI, when appropriate
- Refer and collaborate with surgical colleagues when operative treatment is indicated
- Care for a diverse and active patient population in the San Francisco Bay Area
- Primarily weekday practice environment
