Seeking PMHNP to join a growing medical community in eastern Nebraska. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing assessment and evaluation, diagnosis and treatment, and medication management to patients of all ages in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Hospital-based psychiatric clinic setting
• Current Nebraska APRN license
• Requires a master’s, postgraduate or doctoral degree from a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
(CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
• Certified by ANCC (PMHNP-BS)
Key Duties:
• Work collaboratively with the psychiatrist and healthcare team to provide evidence- based mental health services
• Assess and diagnose patients
• Participate in treatment planning
• Provide therapeutic intervention
• Order therapeutic and diagnosis tests
• Prescribe medications
• Provide patient education
• Prepare documentation
• Initiate appropriate referrals
