Position Highlights:
- Provide primary care through a school-based mobile health setting
- Perform comprehensive examinations, evaluations, diagnosis and treatment
- Manage acute and chronic health concerns while addressing prevention and health promotion
- Provide follow-up care, health education and coordination of specialty services
- Order referrals, laboratory testing and diagnostic studies as clinically appropriate
- Educate patients and families on preventive care, diagnoses and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, confidential electronic medical records
- Work independently while collaborating with physicians and other clinical staff
- Participate in health education, prevention and community outreach programs
- Contribute to quality assurance, peer review and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in staff training, workshops and professional development
- Local travel between sites may be required, with occasional travel for events
- Opportunity to serve patients in a community-based, mobile care environment
Qualifications:
- Current California Physician Assistant license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred
- At least 1 year of directly related experience preferred
- Community or public health experience preferred
- State Office of Family Planning Certificate if working in a family planning program
- Reliable transportation
- Strong clinical judgment, communication and collaboration skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- $155,750–$180,565 annual salary
