We are seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Pulmonologist to join an established academic division in northeastern Tennessee dedicated to delivering comprehensive, family-centered respiratory care while contributing to the education of future healthcare professionals in the region.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonology care
- Perform and interpret complete pulmonary function testing
- Conduct flexible bronchoscopy evaluations and procedures
- Collaborate with a broad network of pediatric subspecialists
- Opportunity to help develop a regional Cystic Fibrosis Center
- Participate in teaching medical students and residents
- Engage in research and academic activities (optional)
- Opportunity to shape a growing pediatric pulmonology program
Practice Environment & Facilities:
- Dedicated outpatient clinic space with strong clinical support staff, including a full-time respiratory therapist
- Fully equipped pulmonary function laboratory and procedural capabilities
- Hospital privileges within a comprehensive regional children’s hospital system featuring:
- 24-bed pediatric inpatient unit
- 48-bed Level III NICU
- 10-bed PICU
- Pediatric emergency department
- St. Jude-affiliated pediatric hematology/oncology program
- Extensive subspecialty collaboration across neonatology, cardiology, critical care, endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, infectious disease, neurology, rheumatology, pediatric surgery, anesthesia, and radiology
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology at time of hire
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Tennessee
