A patient-centered pediatric team along Connecticut’s Gold Coast, ~20 miles from New Haven, is seeking an experienced BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Nursery Physician
for a full-time role providing newborn nursery and pediatric hospital coverage in a supportive environment with strong work-life balance.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time 24-hour shift
schedule:
- Six weekday + two weekend shifts per 4-week cycle
- 13 cycles annually
- Weekday coverage: onsite 5 PM–10 AM, phone availability 10 AM–5 PM
- Weekend shifts: onsite for the full 24 hours
- Round on newborns and attend scheduled and emergent C-sections
- Manage phototherapy and occasional pediatric ED/floor consults
- Stabilize newborns for transport
- 1,000+ deliveries annually
- 24/7 neonatology support
- No circumcisions
