Seeking a full-time Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join a growing musculoskeletal and surgical services team in Southern Maine, supporting a busy orthopedic service line in both clinical and surgical settings.


Position Highlights:

  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic care in outpatient, inpatient, and perioperative settings
  • First assist in orthopedic surgeries including joint replacement, fracture repair, and sports medicine procedures
  • Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations and follow-up care
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions
  • Order and interpret imaging studies and laboratory tests
  • Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
  • Participate in a high-volume, established orthopedic service line with strong referral support
  • Provide patient education and individualized treatment planning
  • Board Certified NCCPA or eligible NP/PA certification required
  • New graduates with strong orthopedic clinical rotations considered


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active or eligible Maine state license
  • NCCPA certification (PA-C) or appropriate NP certification required
  • Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and procedural interest
  • Excellent communication and team-based care skills
