Seeking a full-time Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join a growing musculoskeletal and surgical services team in Southern Maine, supporting a busy orthopedic service line in both clinical and surgical settings.
Position Highlights:
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic care in outpatient, inpatient, and perioperative settings
- First assist in orthopedic surgeries including joint replacement, fracture repair, and sports medicine procedures
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations and follow-up care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions
- Order and interpret imaging studies and laboratory tests
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
- Participate in a high-volume, established orthopedic service line with strong referral support
- Provide patient education and individualized treatment planning
- Board Certified NCCPA or eligible NP/PA certification required
- New graduates with strong orthopedic clinical rotations considered
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Active or eligible Maine state license
- NCCPA certification (PA-C) or appropriate NP certification required
- Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and procedural interest
- Excellent communication and team-based care skills
