A growing oncology program in Knoxville, Tennessee is seeking a BC/BE Oncology Hospitalist to provide comprehensive inpatient care for adults with solid tumor and hematologic malignancies.


Position Highlights:

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult oncology patients
  • Manage acute complications including neutropenic fever, tumor lysis syndrome, sepsis, pain crises, and treatment toxicities
  • Perform admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning
  • Coordinate care and transitions with outpatient oncologists and oncology subspecialists
  • Collaborate closely with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology
  • Partner with palliative care, pharmacy, nursing, and other clinical teams
  • Dedicated full-time inpatient APP supporting patient care
  • Comprehensive on-the-job oncology training and ongoing clinical support
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and morbidity and mortality reviews
  • Contribute to evidence-based protocol development
  • Opportunity for APP education and mentorship
  • 7-on/7-off schedule
  • Monday-Sunday coverage, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO
  • Completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
  • BC/BE
  • Eligible for Tennessee medical licensure
  • Strong interest in inpatient oncology preferred
  • Comfortable managing high-acuity patients
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
