A regional hospital in Hannibal, Missouri is seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its inpatient hospitalist team as a Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider. This role is an integral part of the acute care team, providing high-quality, evidence-based care for hospitalized adult patients in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Role Overview & Highlights:

  • Full-time nocturnist APP (NP/PA) role
  • 12-hour night shifts with varied scheduling
  • Independent and collaborative inpatient patient management
  • Participation in Rapid Response and Code Blue events
  • Procedural opportunities including endotracheal intubation (based on credentialing and training)
  • Strong collaboration with on-site or immediately available nocturnist physician
  • Focus on acute inpatient hospital medicine and critical care support

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Active, unrestricted Missouri NP or PA license (or eligibility)
  • National certification (ANCC/AANP or NCCPA) required
  • Active DEA registration (or eligibility)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required (PALS preferred)
  • 2–4 years of clinical experience preferred in:
    • Hospital medicine
    • Critical care
    • Emergency medicine
  • Experience with resuscitation and acutely ill patients preferred
  • Prior airway management and intubation experience strongly preferred, or willingness to complete training and credentialing
