A regional hospital in Hannibal, Missouri is seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its inpatient hospitalist team as a Nocturnist
Advanced Practice Provider. This role is an integral part of the acute care team, providing high-quality, evidence-based care for hospitalized adult patients in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Role Overview & Highlights:
- Full-time nocturnist APP (NP/PA) role
- 12-hour night shifts with varied scheduling
- Independent and collaborative inpatient patient management
- Participation in Rapid Response and Code Blue events
- Procedural opportunities including endotracheal intubation (based on credentialing and training)
- Strong collaboration with on-site or immediately available nocturnist physician
- Focus on acute inpatient hospital medicine and critical care support
- Opportunity to work within a well-supported, team-based hospital environment
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active, unrestricted Missouri NP or PA license (or eligibility)
- National certification (ANCC/AANP or NCCPA) required
- Active DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required (PALS preferred)
- 2–4 years of clinical experience preferred in:
- Hospital medicine
- Critical care
- Emergency medicine
- Experience with resuscitation and acutely ill patients preferred
- Prior airway management and intubation experience strongly preferred, or willingness to complete training and credentialing
