A leading not-for-profit, integrated healthcare organization in Central Michigan is seeking a BC/BE Hospital Medicine Nocturnist with a focus on admissions to join a high-acuity inpatient care team serving a large and diverse regional population.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time nocturnist position within a large integrated health system
- Coverage for a high-acuity inpatient hospital medicine service
- 12-hour night shifts; approximately 15 shifts per month for full-time status
- Staggered start times (5 PM and 8 PM) to support smooth patient flow and transitions
- Average of 6–10 admissions per shift within a system averaging 45 daily admissions
- Work collaboratively with a second nocturnist physician and advanced practice provider support overnight
- Fully integrated EPIC electronic medical record system
- Primary responsibility for acute admissions from the Emergency Department
- High-acuity, fast-paced inpatient environment within a Level II Trauma Center
- Opportunity to work within a nationally recognized teaching and academic medical environment
- Academic and teaching environment with access to structured residency and medical student programs
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine
- Eligible for state medical licensure
- Strong interest in acute care and inpatient admissions
- New graduates and early-career physicians encouraged to apply
