A hospital-based neurology program about 1 hour northeast of Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join its growing clinical team.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time neurology position with a mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consults
- Monday–Friday clinic schedule with daily inpatient rounding as needed
- Manage a broad range of neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and neuropathies
- Perform and interpret diagnostic studies including EEG, EMG, MRI, and CT
- Participate in acute stroke evaluations and stroke team activities (as applicable)
- Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, and other specialists
- Strong emphasis on outpatient continuity and longitudinal patient care
- Up to 10 days of call per month
- Utilize Epic EMR within a strong clinical support infrastructure
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and potential teaching opportunities
- Fellowship training in stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular, or neurocritical care is a plus
