Seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a nephrology team in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time outpatient nephrology and dialysis opportunity
- Round on in-center dialysis patients at multiple dialysis units 3 times monthly
- Monitor fluid balance, clearance parameters and vascular access
- Manage blood pressure, electrolyte abnormalities, bone and mineral disorders, nutrition and anemia
- Address treatment attendance and social barriers affecting dialysis care
- Assist with medication management, including dialysis-related adjustments, refills and medication reconciliation
- Write dialysis orders for short-term travelers and new dialysis patients
- Manage notifications related to missed or shortened treatments, concerning vital signs and urgent clinical issues
- Respond to dialysis-related emergencies requiring EMS or hospital transfer
- Collaborate closely with attending nephrologists in accordance with state law, regulations, policies and clinical pathways
- Opportunity to provide autonomous, team-based care
- Experience in dialysis, internal medicine or another medical specialty preferred, but not required
