Join a comprehensive behavioral health program approximately 30 miles from New Haven, Connecticut, as a BC/BE Psychiatrist serving as Medical Director of a specialized Adult Mood Disorders inpatient unit.


Position Highlights:

  • Medical Director role for a specialized Adult Mood Disorders inpatient unit
  • Lead and collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Provide direct inpatient psychiatric care for adults with mood, anxiety and trauma-related disorders
  • Participate in resident supervision and medical student teaching
  • Academic appointment eligibility through Quinnipiac University’s Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine
  • Dedicated academic time with a Psychiatry Residency Program
  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • No required after-hours call
  • Optional moonlighting opportunities
  • Access to physician leadership development and provider wellness resources
  • Comprehensive behavioral health continuum including adult, dual diagnosis and child/adolescent inpatient services
  • Emergency, consult-liaison, geriatric, intensive outpatient and outpatient behavioral health services
  • Outpatient behavioral health clinics serving communities throughout Fairfield County

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Eligible for unrestricted Connecticut medical licensure
  • Interest in academic psychiatry, teaching and leadership
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral healthcare
