This is an opportunity for a Internal Medicine Residency Program Director for a group with 30+ health center locations in the central valley.

The Internal Medicine Program Director, under the direction of the Graduate Medical Education Committee and the Chief Medical Officer, oversees a residency program designed to foster exceptional clinical learning and professional development. The role requires active participation in patient care, including continuous supervision, mentoring, and direct teaching of residents. The Program Director is accountable for maintaining academic excellence, promoting health equity through collaboration with underserved communities, and ensuring compliance with ACGME policies and requirements. Strategic leadership is essential, including setting the program’s direction and upholding its quality and reputation. The position also involves integrating the residency program with physician practices and hospital services to enhance value, care quality, and the learning environment.

Additionally, the physician is expected to deliver comprehensive primary care, including health education, preventive services, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, while contributing to the teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows. Responsibilities also include participating in the planning and management of health services, developing protocols and procedures, and contributing to policy development within the medical department.
