Seeking a full-time Medical Hospitalist NP to provide inpatient medical care, including H&Ps, follow-ups, and discharge planning for patients ages 5 and up in Anchorage, Alaska.
Schedule & Benefits:
- 7-on/7-off block schedule, 10-hour shifts
- Full-time, benefits-eligible position
- Opportunities to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary inpatient team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning
- Perform medical admissions evaluations, diagnostics, and ongoing patient management
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to develop integrated treatment plans addressing both medical and mental health needs
- Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments
- Provide medical consultations and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed
