Seeking a BE/BC Hematology Oncologist to join established practice part of the largest provider of oncology services in eastern North Carolina.
- Outpatient only clinical care
- Established team of experienced nurses, navigators, and a nurse practitioner
- Monday-Friday schedule that offers a 4.5-day work week
- Shared regional call
- Outpatient clinical responsibilities will include:
- Developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients
- Chemotherapy oversight
- Supervising advanced practice provider on follow up patients
- Leading tumor board
- Advanced Practice Provider support for follow ups, symptom management and infusion coverage
- Cancer center includes a healing garden, 8 infusion chairs, 2 private infusion areas, patient image renewal areas, and community outreach spaces
- Affiliation with and support provided multidisciplinary oncology teams for diagnosing late-stage cancers including support from disease focused medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgical oncologists
- Close collaboration with the Multispecialty Clinic which offers a full range of healthcare services which include primary & preventive care, immediate care, specialty care, Lab, X-ray, Digital radiology and bone densitometry, IAC accredited ECHO lab, and AASM accredited sleep lab
- System-wide integrated EMR – EPIC
