A leading healthcare organization in Rutland, Vermont is seeking a Health Psychologist
to join an integrated Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Orthopaedics, and Spine program focused on improving outcomes for patients with chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions, and complex health needs.
Position Highlights:
- Join an integrated PM&R, Orthopaedics, and Spine care team
- Provide health psychology services within a collaborative medical setting
- Treat primarily adult patients with chronic musculoskeletal conditions, pain, neurologic disorders, and sleep concerns
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy, assessments, treatment planning, and care coordination
- Collaborate directly with physicians and care teams during patient visits
- Develop innovative team-based interventions and virtual/telehealth services
- Utilize evidence-based approaches including ACT, CBT, and MBSR
- Support patients with complex trauma histories and chronic health conditions
- Enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule with no call responsibilities
- Work in a patient-focused environment with opportunities for program growth
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
- Completion of an APA-approved internship
- Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Vermont
- Experience working with adults with acute mental illness and substance use disorders required
- Experience in health psychology, medical center, or integrated care settings preferred
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and treatment plan development
- Ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams preferred
