Seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing General Cardiology team in Southern Maine, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care across both inpatient and outpatient settings in a collaborative, physician-led environment.
Position Highlights:
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations and ongoing patient management
- Manage inpatient cardiology consults and outpatient follow-up visits
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists in developing and implementing treatment plans
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and ambulatory monitoring
- Educate patients on cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment options, and medication management
- Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in shared call coverage as part of the cardiology service line
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current and unrestricted NP or PA certification
- Eligible for Maine state licensure
- Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred
