Seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join an established and expanding Digestive Health program in Southern Maine, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care within a collaborative, hospital-based environment.
Position Highlights/Responsibilities:
- Provide full-spectrum gastroenterology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including EGD and colonoscopy
- Manage a wide range of GI conditions including IBD, GERD, liver disease, hepatitis, pancreatic disorders, and GI bleeding
- Perform procedures such as biopsy, polypectomy, hemostasis, dilation, and PEG placement
- Participate in a shared call schedule within a supportive team structure
- Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, oncology, radiology, and primary care teams
- Engage in quality improvement, peer review, and patient safety initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
