Seeking an experienced FNP Postgraduate Program Director to lead new residency program in Lancaster, CA. This role ensures compliance with HRSA and The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements and provides both administrative leadership (80%) and direct patient care (20%). In this role, you will oversee curriculum development, clinical rotations, faculty/preceptor engagement, and resident mentorship. Weekly didactic sessions with residents are a key part of this position.

  • Lead the FNP Residency Program and ensure HRSA/TJC compliance.
  • Develop and deliver a structured curriculum, including weekly didactic classes.
  • Provide direct patient care (20% of FTE) in a primary care setting to model clinical excellence.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate faculty, preceptors, and residents.
  • Monitor resident progress and provide mentorship, feedback, and remediation when necessary.
  • Oversee quality improvement, scholarly projects, and program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, quality, and compliance teams to align program outcomes with organizational goals.

  • This is a Full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, hours range from 7:30am-6:30pm with occasional approved overtime.

Skills / Experience

Required:

  • MSN or DNP with current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification.
  • Unencumbered license to practice as an FNP in California; DEA license.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as an FNP in primary care.
  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching, precepting, or program leadership.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to health equity and serving underserved populations.

Preferred:

  • Previous Program Director or Associate Director experience.
  • Experience with HRSA-funded programs and TJC accreditation.
  • FQHC or community health center experience.
  • Record of scholarly activity (publications, presentations, or QI projects).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) or cross-cultural healthcare experience.
  • Advanced training in education, leadership, or quality improvement.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $130,000 – $200,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
  • Schedule: Full-Time (5/8 role, 40 hours/week).
