A community-focused healthcare organization in southeastern Colorado is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care and assist with emergency department coverage.
This position offers a broad scope of practice and the opportunity to care for patients across the lifespan. The incoming physician will join an experienced rural healthcare team committed to expanding access to high-quality care in an underserved community.
- Provide outpatient primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Conduct examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and develop individualized care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing
- Prescribe medications and provide preventive health education
- Assist with emergency department coverage as part of the provider schedule
- Evaluate and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Coordinate transfers when patients require a higher level of care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, emergency personnel, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a broad scope of practice in a supportive rural environment
