An established Family Medicine Residency Program in Western Wisconsin along the Mississippi River is seeking a BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join its core faculty.
Position Highlights:
- Join a thriving, innovative Family Medicine Residency Program committed to excellent resident education
- Precept an average of 4–5 half-days per week in the residency clinic
- Maintain your own continuity clinic 2–3 half-days per week
- Choose a practice model with or without obstetrics
- Faculty providing inpatient obstetrical care enjoy a four-day work week, except during scheduled call/delivery weeks
- Faculty not providing OB have a 35-contact-hour full-time schedule
- Participate in inpatient newborn and postpartum call approximately 6 weeks per year if not providing obstetrical care
- Inpatient medicine teaching opportunities available for interested physicians
- Bring additional expertise in OMT, sports medicine, POCUS, or other skills that enhance resident education
- Work within a collaborative, physician-led environment with opportunities to contribute to program development
Faculty Responsibilities:
- Teach and mentor residents in clinical and didactic settings
- Lead simulation, procedural workshops, case discussions, lectures, and other educational activities
- Serve as a resident advisor and provide longitudinal mentorship
- Participate in weekly faculty meetings and curriculum development
- Contribute to the Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Committee
- Pursue scholarly activities including quality improvement, research, curriculum development, and educational innovation
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and clinical staff
Qualifications:
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
- Completion of an accredited graduate medical training program
- Genuine passion for teaching and mentoring resident physicians
- Graduate medical education or faculty development experience preferred, but not required
- Eligible for medical licensure throughout the organization's multi-state service region
- Ability to supervise advanced practice clinicians
- Willingness to provide outreach services as needed
