We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dynamic Emergency Department and Urgent Care team serving a rural health system in west-central Minnesota. This position offers a unique blend of ED, walk-in clinic, and inpatient support work with strong autonomy, flexibility, and system-wide coverage opportunities.
Role Highlights:
- Provide ED coverage in a rural emergency department with tele-support backup (Avel system in place)
- Manage low-to-moderate acuity emergency cases (average ESI ~3.5) with ~3–4 patient encounters per shift
- Deliver urgent care services across walk-in clinic settings
- Support inpatient care as needed, including hospitalist, swing bed, and observation patients
- Work in a high-autonomy environment with strong system-wide flexibility across ED and urgent care sites
- Serve as a key clinical resource in rural emergency and acute care delivery
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- Current or eligible Minnesota licensure and DEA
- Active ACLS certification required
- Prior experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care strongly required
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary setting
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $120K – $140K annually
