new state-of-the-art Free-Standing Emergency Departments (FSEDs):
- A 12-bed FSED opening in August 2026.
- An 8-bed FSED expected to open in late 2026.

SCHEDULE & COVERAGE:
- Minimum of 120 hours per month, with the opportunity to work additional shifts if desired—no cap on monthly shifts, and all are paid at the same rate
- 12-hour and 10-hour shifts available
- Rotations between the main ED and FSEDs are expected, though exclusive FSED coverage may be considered
- Main ED staffed daily with 5 physicians and 2–4+ APPs
- APPs with PIT (Provider in Triage) coverage
- The FSEDs will be staffed according to volume
- 1.5–1.7 PPH in the main ED
- LWBS under 1%
- No call responsibilities are required for this position

FACILITIES & TECHNOLOGY:
- Main ED: 42 beds with dedicated high-, moderate-, and low-acuity zones – no hallway beds or patients boarding in corridors
- FSED #1 (Socastee): 8 beds | 3T MRI, CT, ultrasound, full lab
- FSED #2 (Hwy 22 & 90): 12 beds | CT, X-ray, ultrasound, full lab
- 24/7 intensivist coverage and in-house surgical support
- Chest Pain Center & STEMI program with 24/7 interventional cardiology
- Level III Trauma Center with low transfer rate (~2%) and high continuity of care
- 50k annual ER visits
- ACGME teaching hospital — opportunities to teach without the burden of required lectures
LEVEL OF CARE & TRANSFERS:
- Level III Trauma Center
- Over 50,000 annual ER visits
- Low Transfer Rate: ~2% | Admission Rate: ~25%.
- Common transfers include neurosurgical cases, advanced orthopedic trauma, transplant patients, and pediatric ICU cases. Transfers are facilitated seamlessly through established call-center protocols with tertiary care facilities.
