Emergency Med Physician | Coastal Maine – $250–$280/Hour + 4 Shifts/Month

An established rural hospital in Eastern Coastal Maine is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Department Physician to provide comprehensive emergency care in a community-based setting.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time Emergency Department Physician opportunity
• Just 4 × 24-hour shifts per month considered full-time and benefit eligible
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages
• Practice in a Critical Access Hospital setting
• Maintain a professional, collaborative relationship with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Participate in medical staff activities and continuing medical education
• Follow EMTALA requirements and established emergency medicine guidelines
• 2+ years of Critical Access Hospital experience preferred

Compensation/Benefits:

• $250–$280 per hour
• Up to $5K annually for CME, including approved travel expenses

Qualifications:

• Valid Maine medical license
• Current federal narcotics/DEA registration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
• 2+ years of experience in a Critical Access Hospital preferred
• Commitment to maintaining current Emergency Medicine knowledge and skills
• Knowledge of EMTALA, documentation, coding, and reimbursement requirements
