A well-established, physician-led healthcare system southwest of Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a collaborative anesthesia care team providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services across a broad and diverse surgical and procedural case mix.
Position Highlights:
- Join a collaborative anesthesia care team model with supportive colleagues and strong physician oversight
- Provide anesthesia for a wide variety of cases, including general surgery, trauma, neurosurgery, cardiac, pediatrics, orthopedics, vascular, thoracic, and maxillofacial
- Non-OR anesthesia opportunities including IR, endoscopy, CT, MRI, and EP procedures
- Participate in both inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services
- Teaching opportunities available through SRNA clinical rotations
- Flexible scheduling within a team-based practice environment
- Strong emphasis on teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia under physician supervision using established clinical protocols
- Perform pre-, intra-, and post-operative anesthesia planning and patient assessment
- Conduct airway management including intubation and extubation
- Monitor and manage patients throughout surgical and procedural care
- Respond to and manage emergency situations, including CPR and critical events
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare staff across departments
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold clinical and safety standards
