Seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative Critical Care team in Southern Maine, providing comprehensive ICU care within a regional referral center serving a broad patient population.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time Critical Care opportunity within a multidisciplinary ICU team
- Work alongside experienced intensivists, specialists, nurses, and respiratory therapists
- Provide comprehensive management of critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage complex medical conditions
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and collaborative care planning
- Perform ICU-related procedures consistent with training and credentialing, including central line placement, arterial line insertion, and intubation assistance
- Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and hemodynamic monitoring data
- Full-time schedule with rotating shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Regional referral center with strong specialty support and advanced clinical resources
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current or eligible Maine NP or PA licensure
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Critical Care or ICU experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-based environment caring for high-acuity patients
