A growing ophthalmology program in Greenville, North Carolina, is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Cornea and External Disease Specialist. Candidates with an interest in resident education and ophthalmology residency program development are encouraged to apply.
The position is based at a tertiary referral center that cares for a high volume of patients with complex ophthalmic conditions. The multi-specialty ophthalmology practice is expanding and actively recruiting physicians across multiple subspecialties.
The program has received ACGME approval to launch a new ophthalmology residency, with its inaugural class beginning in summer 2026. The practice benefits from a strong hospital-based referral network, as well as referrals from regional optometrists and ophthalmologists in an area with limited ophthalmology subspecialty coverage.
