Seeking a Board-Certified Infectious Disease Physician to serve as Chief of Infectious Diseases ~20 miles from New Haven, Connecticut.
Position Highlights:
- Serve as Chief of Infectious Diseases for a department of 4 physicians
- Report to the System Director of Infectious Disease
- Lead continued growth of the Infectious Disease section
- Establish strong communication and collaboration across service lines
- Mentor junior faculty and support physician development
- Oversee the hospital epidemiology program in partnership with Infection Prevention
- Collaborate closely with Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists
- Provide inpatient Infectious Disease consultations
- Outpatient practice including HIV, Hepatitis C, STDs, and travel medicine
- No primary care
- Active hospitalist program caring for inpatients
- Shared call with other Infectious Disease physicians
- Collaborate with 25+ Infectious Disease physician colleagues across the broader network
- Participate in postgraduate medical education for residents and medical students
- Assistant Professor appointment with Quinnipiac University
- Opportunities to contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and hospital-acquired infection initiatives
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Infectious Disease
- MD or DO degree
- Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
- 3–5 years of clinical experience
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- Experience within a multi-site health system preferred
