A full-time Certified Nurse Midwife is sought to provide comprehensive, patient-centered women’s healthcare in John Day, Oregon.
Position Highlights:
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor & delivery, and postpartum care
- Support women through labor and delivery, including management of complications
- Direct nursing care for labor and delivery patients
- Provide breastfeeding support and newborn care education
- Lead and teach prenatal classes
- Perform routine gynecologic and women’s health exams for all ages
- Provide contraception and menopause management
- Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Opportunity to help develop policies and procedures for the Labor & Delivery department
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery or related field
- Prior labor & delivery and midwifery experience
- AMCB certification
- Oregon APRN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Lactation Consultant certification preferred
- Advanced clinical skills, including suturing and emergency care
