A nationally recognized cardiovascular program in Hartford, Connecticut is seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a busy, collegial team at a leading academic medical center. Robotic cardiac surgery experience is highly desirable, with an opportunity to practice in a high-volume environment supported by advanced technology, dedicated cardiac critical care, and a strong regional referral network.
Position Highlights:
- 1,500+ open-heart cases annually
- High-volume valve surgery program
- Mitral repair reference center with the Northeast’s largest mitral surgery volume
- Heart failure program with transplant, VAD, and ECMO
- Expertise in aortic replacement, TAVR, mitral repair/replacement, and minimally invasive surgery
- 40 ORs, including 4 dedicated cardiac ORs
- 2 state-of-the-art hybrid ORs and 5 robotic systems
- 15 minimally invasive ORs
- Dedicated cardiac intensivists and advanced practitioners
- Strong referral network spanning 8 affiliated hospitals
- Cardiothoracic surgery residency affiliated with the University of Connecticut

Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree
- BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
- Robotic cardiac surgery training and experience highly desirable
