This is a full-time academic clinical role combining patient care, advanced imaging interpretation, and teaching responsibilities within an established cardiology division supported by fellowship-trained physicians, residents, and medical students. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple clinical sites while contributing to program development, education, and research in a collaborative, academically engaged environment.
Position Highlights:
- Lead development of a new Cardiac MRI program
- Advanced cardiac imaging focus (MRI, CT, echo, and nuclear imaging)
- Academic faculty appointment with teaching responsibilities
- Work across multiple hospital and clinic sites in the region
- Participate in call coverage including weekend imaging reads (approx. 1:6)
- Supervise and teach cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
- Opportunity for collaborative clinical and translational research
- Faculty appointment available at Assistant or Associate Professor level (clinical or tenure track options)
Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Advanced training in cardiac imaging (CT/MRI Level 2 or 3 preferred)
- Ability or eligibility to obtain a West Virginia medical license
- Strong interest in academic medicine, teaching, and program development
