esponsibilities
- Diagnostic imaging interpretation: Analyze and interpret screening and diagnostic mammograms, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasounds, and breast MRIs for the detection and characterization of breast cancer.
- Image-guided procedures: Perform and interpret results from image-guided biopsies, which are essential for obtaining tissue for definitive diagnosis and biomarker analysis.
- Triple assessment: Part of a "triple assessment" that includes clinical assessment (patient history, physical exam), imaging (mammography, ultrasound), and biopsy to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
- Consultation: Serve as a key consultant to other specialists, including surgeons, oncologists, and primary care physicians.
- Patient-centered care: Take a central role in patient communication, from initial diagnosis to follow-up, providing essential information and psychological support to patients and their families.
- Quality assurance: Participate in quality control measures and participate in a tumor board to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- Multidisciplinary collaboration: Work as a crucial member of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care plans and treatment monitoring.

- PET/CT Imagining reading
- MRI reading
FACILITIES & SUPPORT:
- Clinic/Facility: 10-chair infusion center, onsite lab and pharmacy, two additional infusion centers on campus (1 general/1 rheumatology)
- Imaging/Diagnostics: PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammography, breast MRI, high-definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy
- Tumor Boards: Bi-weekly for breast, PCC, GI, and ENT
- Surgical Referrals: Includes breast, colorectal, and vascular; Bone marrow transplants referred to Charleston (MUSC or Roper St Francis)
- ACGME Accredited: Medical students, Family Medicine Residency, transitional year, Sports Medicine Fellowship program
- Research & Trials: Currently no active clinical trials; aligned with Duke for access to approximately 450 protocols
- Currently undergoing submission to become accredited by The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Sign-on Bonus: $100,000
- Relocation Assistance: $25,000
- Call: Flexible
- $52.00 - $60.00 per wRVU above base target bonus potential.
