We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant to join a patient-centered adult primary care practice in Brooklyn, NY focused on delivering high-quality, accessible, and personalized healthcare in an urban setting. Spanish speaking is required.
Position Highlights:
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
- Document patient visits accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients on diagnoses and treatment plans in a clear and supportive manner
- Manage follow-up care and support ongoing chronic disease management
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests based on clinical assessments
- Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with supervising physicians when needed
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in all aspects of care
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary care team in a collaborative environment
- Participate in clinical meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize strong communication skills to support patient understanding and engagement
- Contribute to a patient-centered, team-based care model focused on quality and outcomes
Qualifications:
- Certified Physician Assistant with active New York State licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a PA
- Strong team-based approach to patient care
- Experience working with diverse and underserved populations strongly preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) required
- Experience with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively
- Open to feedback, collaboration, and continuous professional development
